For more than 20 years I have litigated difficult court disputes between contentious family members in Article 81 guardianship proceedings, 17A guardianship proceedings for an intellectually disabled adult, and outside the court arena, in elder law. For more than 20 years I have litigated difficult court disputes between contentious family members in Article 81 guardianship proceedings, 17A guardianship proceedings for an intellectually disabled adult, and outside the court arena, in elder law.

I have reached the conclusion that Mediation is a better approach to settling legal and family disputes than resorting to costly and emotionally devastating litigation.

As a certified Mediator, your family retains my services as the neutral facilitator to resolve your elder law and guardianship dispute and disagreement. Mediation occurs ideally before you head to court, but can achieve better results even after a legal proceeding has begun. Mediation is handled by me as the mediator either without your need for lawyers, or if you have already hired lawyers, then, with your legal counsel participating.

Think differently – think mediation, not litigation.
